The SIP protocol is the standard protocol of the professional IP telephony in the world. SIP means “Session Initiation Protocol”. SIP is a request-response protocol, dealing with requests from clients and responses from servers.

The NovoSip Video door panel works with Raspberry Pi, the tiny Linux card at 30 Euros which is actually a small computer. NovoSIP has an extension small electronic card connected to Raspberry Pi which forwards the call to a visitor on the Android Smartphone owner who can then view the visitor, converse with him and open the door.
It is powered by PoE 100%. Just spend a category 5 or higher cable from the PoE switch to the platinum NovoSIP. Even the electric lock is supplied with PoE! Need complicated installation: you connect the PoE switch on the box or the Internet router, then connect the Category 5 Ethernet cable connecting the RJ-45 connectors on each end. There are currently more than connect the two son of the electric lock directly on the terminal block of the plate!
